Sundowners Flying Club: Established 1965

Based at Page Field (KFMY), the Sundowners Flying Club is a nonprofit community of aviators committed to excellence in General Aviation. We provide exclusive access to a meticulously managed fleet of Cessna aircraft, optimized for advanced instruction, regional travel, and pilot proficiency.

We utilize standardized operating procedures and modern fleet-management technology to maintain the highest levels of safety and aircraft availability. Our members are stewards of a 60-year tradition, ensuring that every flight is backed by a culture of accountability and camaraderie.

 The Fleet

We operate three aircraft: one late-model Cessna 172 and two late-model Cessna 182s. Our liberal reservation policy and competitive rates are designed to get you in the air more often.

 24/7 Scheduling

We use Flight Circle for all aircraft management. You can book, check out, and log flights instantly from your phone, tablet, or desktop. It’s a reliable, cloud-based system that keeps the focus on flying, not paperwork.

 Instruction & Proficiency

Our membership includes several CFIs who provide the training necessary to keep you current and proficient. Whether you need a flight review or instrument currency, you have expert resources right within the club.

 Meticulous Maintenance

Safety is our absolute priority. We perform 50-hour and 100-hour inspections on all aircraft, overseen by a dedicated maintenance officer. Every plane is fully IFR certified and equipped with ADS-B In/Out. We maintain them for our own families, so they are kept in top-tier condition.

 Fair, Transparent Rates

At $110.00/month, our dues are some of the most competitive in the region. Hourly rates are kept affordable and are adjusted monthly based on fuel prices to ensure the best value for our members.
