Night Flying Preparation Class

This class is the precursor to our night flying sessions the following week.

Club CFII Todd Earhart will talk about differences between day and night flight, the pitfalls and the shifted risk factors of it.

You will be reminded of what it takes to prepare for a successful night flight and how to stack the odds in your favor.

This course is a required step if you want to participate in our Night Proficiency Flights the following week.

Night Flying Currency and Proficiency Training (November 09, 2026)

Tue, 10 Nov 2026 00:00:00 GMT

Night Flight to become night current and proficient

Fly an actual 3 airport flight at night, with a CFI, and become night current and proficient.

Sundowners Flying Club is building on its huge success of 2025 and expanding the night flying training from simply flying patterns to an actual flight to Punta Gorda and Venice.

We will have 2 sorties per plane every night from Monday 9-November to Thursday 12-November. First flight will depart at 7:00PM, the second one will follow at 8:30 PM.

Participation in the night flight prep course on Nov. 5 is mandatory to participate in this night flying activity. Sign up for the prep class here: NIGHT CLASS

When registering for this flying event, please indicate your availability and plane preference. We will try to accommodate your requests as much as possible.

Participants will have to pay for the aircraft (time) used , as well as for the CFI.
